How does it work? – Your most frequently asked questions about Camping-Car Park

This practical guide is intended for motorhome owners using the CAMPING-CAR PARK network, to facilitate their travels throughout France and Europe.

1. The CAMPING-CAR PARKWhat's it for?

It's the tool that simplifies life when traveling:

  • Find over 600 areas in France and Europe, with or without reservation.
  • Search for an area of your choice (beach, mountain, nature...) on an interactive map.
  • Check availability in real time before travelling.
  • Enter and exit areas independently.
  • Manage your account, top up your balance, check your expenses.
  • See the services available at each site (water, electricity, wifi, emptying...).

In short, a real Swiss army knife for trouble-free travel.

2. Accessing an area: how does it work?‍

  • Without reservation: open the app, press Access immediately and you'll receive a temporary code. Type it on the keypad at the entrance.
  • With reservation: the code is available on the app, home page.

Once in the area, you can enter/exit as you wish (depending on the option chosen).
Please note: without a reservation, your place is not guaranteed if you leave and return later. Payment is made on departure, automatically debited to your account. Reload via application.

3. Payment: simple and secure‍

  • Automatic output flow.
  • Balance top-up via app (CB, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, foreign cards OK).
  • Real-time expense notifications.
  • Secure bank details (Payline).

4. "0 places available, but free spaces? Why do you ask?

‍Becauseplaces can be reserved for arrivals later in the day.If you see empty places but the system says "full", that's normal: they're blocked for reservations.

The system automatically blocks certain places for arrivals scheduled for later in the day, in order to respect the commitments made at the time of reservations.

To reserve your place, consider the Privilege Pack.

5. What is the Digital Pass?

The Digital Pass is a lifetime digital pass (€5), giving access to all areas.

  • Everything is done via the app, no more cards to manage.
  • Direct activation on your account.
  • Covers activation costs and network access.
  • No need for a physical card

6. Paper map of areas: a practical version to take with you?

Yes, the Carte des Aires & Campings 2024/2025 is available:

  • Handy for planning without a network.
  • Clear information on services and location.
  • Easy to take anywhere.

7. Does the physical access card still work?

  • Yes, it still works for entering and exiting areas. But the app is still more practical, especially for updates and future loyalty program options.
  • An alternative exists: the personal access code is available at any time on the application.
  • The app is recommended to enjoy additional features and, soon, exclusive benefits through the loyalty program.

8. How to recharge your account (video)

  • Via the app: section ReloadChoose the amount, secure CB payment.
  • Directly on certain area vending machines (if available).


9. What is the Privilege Pack?

Visit PACK'PRIVILÈGESis 29€/year and gives you access to :

  • Reservations up to 6 months in advance.
  • Last-minute reservations.
  • Free cancellation up to 48 hours in advance.
  • Unlimited entry/exit during your stay.
  • A second vehicle is allowed in certain areas.

Super useful in busy times.

10. The access code: how does it work?

  • Personal and permanent code (valid everywhere).
  • Activated 5 min before the start of your reservation.
  • Generatable at any time for immediate access without reservation.
  • Gives access to all services on the site.
  • The physical card also works if you prefer.

11. Contact CAMPING-CAR PARK‍

  • WhatsApp Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.
  • Application: contact or FAQ section.
  • Facebook group A place for motorhomers to help each other.
  • Customer account Form on the website or social networks.
  • Emergency at a rest area : Call +33 1 83 64 69 21 (8 a.m.–11 p.m., 7 a.m.–midnight in summer).
