The 2026 Spring Tide Calendar: key dates near campgrounds and campsites in France

Fellow RV enthusiasts, lovers of the great outdoors, and ocean aficionados, get out your calendars!

The year 2026 has some truly magical moments in store for us on the coast. When the sea recedes as far as the eye can see, only to return a few hours later and transform the landscape, you can enjoy the spectacular sight of the spring tides.

Whether you are an amateur photographer, a fan of beachcombing, or simply in search of spectacular panoramic views, these dates are unmissable events in your calendar.

The secret to enjoying it with peace of mind? Plan ahead and book your stopover at our rest areas to have your "feet in the water" (or almost) with the Privilege Pack.

Where should you go for a successful fishing trip?

Our French coastline is full of incredible spots that are accessible from our sites.

Here are our favorite destinations and what you can put in your basket just a few meters from your RV site (respecting catch sizes and the environment, of course):

🦀 The English Channel: the kingdom of burrowing shellfish

Between vast stretches of fine sand and some of Europe's most spectacular tides, the Channel coastline is an ideal playground for beachcombers. This is where you can hunt for razor clams, cockles, clams, and prawns, buried deep in the damp sand.

Where to park?
Ideally located areas to enjoy the high tides around Mont Saint-Michel Bay:

🐚 Southern Brittany: between cockles and periwinkles

The Gulf of Morbihan is a must-visit destination for shore fishing. Here, you can arm yourself with a small rake to dig for cockles in the sand, or simply collect periwinkles clinging to the rocks along the creeks and rocky points.

Where to park?
Take advantage of our network in Brittany to alternate between sea views and proximity to coastal paths.
Nearby parking areas (availability via the CAMPING-CAR PARK app):

🍤 The Pays de la Loire region: heading for shrimp and pine nuts

Between Noirmoutier and Saint-Jean-de-Monts, the high tides transform the beaches into a veritable natural pantry. Here, people fish for the famous sand crabs in the sand or grey shrimp with nets, in a typically Vendée atmosphere.

Where to park?
Reserve your spot with the Privilege Pack at our campgrounds in the Vendée region to live in tune with the tides, in a wild and unspoiled setting:

🦪 Charente-Maritime: a paradise for oysters, clams, and razor clams

Head to Île d'Oléron or the Fouras peninsula. At low tide, the foreshore is exposed, revealing razor clams (don't forget the salt!), clams, and sometimes even a few wild oysters, in a setting typical of carrelets (fishing huts) and oyster cabins.

Where to park?
Our sites located right next to the Charente coastline allow you to be on the foreshore as soon as low tide begins:
