Today I'd like to share with you my motorhome getaway to a coveted little corner of the Charente-Maritime region: La Palmyre and the surrounding area. I had heard of three CAMPING-CAR PARK located just a few kilometers from each other: Corsaire, Les Pins and La Garenne. My curiosity led me to explore them all... and I don't regret it!

I'd planned to stay in the area for a week, and I can tell you that each destination offers its own distinct atmosphere, with a variety of activities to suit all tastes.

CAMPING-CAR PARK Corsaire: beach and idleness

This is where I started my stay. The site is ideally located, just a stone's throw from the Bonne Anse beach. A quick dip to cool off, a little sunbathing, and nearby shops to stock up without any headaches. The site meets all our needs perfectly: good location, well thought-out services and a real vacation atmosphere. I stayed there for two days, between leisurely strolls and lazing in the sun.

Aire des Pins: zoo, forest and bicycle paths

If you're planning a visit to the famous La Palmyre zoo, this is the place to be! I walked there from the aire, and it's very accessible. Another great asset is the Coubre forest and its many cycle paths. A real treat for nature lovers! Les Pins beach is just 500 meters away, and at this time of year, a food truck was set up nearby, perfect for a meal on the go. Three very active days where time flew by without me even realizing it.

Aire de la Garenne: calm, family-friendly and Luna Park

To end my stay in style, I chose this smaller, quieter, but equally pleasant area. The village is just a stone's throw away, making it convenient for shopping and drinks. And for families, there's a great pumptrack for the kids, a small local cinema... and even Luna Park just a few minutes away, accessible by bus during the summer! It was the icing on the cake to round off this beautiful tour.
