Le Lavandou by motorhome: immersion in the Mediterranean

Head for the French Riviera... but far from the hustle and bustle of the big seaside resorts. Philippe and Geneviève, CAMPING-CAR PARK ambassadors, take us to the CAMPING-CAR PARK site in Le Lavandou, nicknamed the "city of dolphins." Between the Maures mountains and crystal-clear waters, this Mediterranean stopover offers the ideal setting for a motorhome break, combining nature, beaches, and the Provençal way of life.

🌴 Le Lavandou and its 12 beaches: one beach, one atmosphere

Le Lavandou stretches along 12 kilometers of coastline. Here, we're not talking about just one beach... but twelve beaches, twelve different atmospheres.

The Grande Plage, right in the town center, lined with palm trees and fine sand, embodies the energy of the resort. It is the perfect place for a stroll at the end of the day or a coffee facing the sea.

A little further on, Saint-Clair, nicknamed "the pearl," reveals sparkling turquoise waters. At sunrise, the view is breathtaking.

Those who enjoy peace and quiet will prefer La Fossette, which is wilder and protected by dense vegetation.

At the eastern end, Pramousquier offers a peaceful cove, ideal for recharging your batteries away from the hustle and bustle.

In a motorhome, this diversity allows you to alternate between relaxation, swimming, and exploration without having to travel long distances. Every day becomes a new postcard. 🌞

⚓ A port open to adventure

The port of Le Lavandou is not just a place to moor. It is a starting point for voyages out to sea.

This is where you embark for the legendary Îles d'Or: Porquerolles, Port-Cros, and Le Levant. True jewels of the Mediterranean, they captivate visitors with their crystal-clear waters and unspoiled landscapes.

For travelers in motorhomes, the plan is simple: park at the site, head to the port, then set off to explore the islands for the day.

There's plenty for outdoor enthusiasts too. The greenway, built on the old railway line, allows you to cycle along the coast to Cavalaire. The more rugged coastal path winds its way between coves and rocks, offering spectacular views of the Mediterranean.

🚐 The CAMPING-CAR PARK area in Le Lavandou: a strategic stopover

Philippe and Geneviève chose to stay at the CAMPING-CAR PARK site in Le Lavandou, located opposite Cavalière beach, about 6 km from the town center .

The area has 46 spaces spread over three platforms. Motorhome owners park along the trees, close to the electrical hook-ups, in a pleasant and convenient setting.

The unloading area, equipped with two tracks, facilitates maneuvers.

Just 200 meters away, shops and restaurants make everyday life easier.

Another advantage: bus line 878 (Toulon–Saint-Tropez) has a stop 100 meters away, called “Vieille Douane.” Thanks to the ZOU app, tickets are available for €2.10 per passenger. This is an ideal solution for visiting without having to move your motorhome.

Access to the area is easy with the Access Card or the Digital Pass, allowing 24-hour entry and access to services (water, electricity, waste disposal).

During the summer or during events, the Privilege Package guarantees your spot upon arrival and offers the option to cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before your stay. A real guarantee of peace of mind.

🌞 A Mediterranean getaway to enjoy to the fullest

Through this report, Philippe and Geneviève remind us why traveling in a motorhome is unique: freedom of movement, closeness to nature, and discovery at your own pace.

Le Lavandou combines varied beaches, sea excursions, sporting activities, and Provençal charm. It is an ideal destination for a sunny break, whether for a few days or to prolong the summer.

The Mediterranean awaits you... 🚐🌊☀️
