The Normandy Landings on June 6, 1944 marked one of the key phases of the Second World War, and the beginning of the liberation of France. Welcome to the 4th edition of the D-Day Swing Festival at Lion-sur-Mer! For three days, from June 6 to 8, the seaside resort comes alive to the rhythm of jazz and commemorations.
Don't miss the Great Sword Beach Paradewith a procession of civilian and military vehicles between Lion-sur-Mer and Ouistreham, accompanied by a concert by the famous pipers.
There's also an exceptional exhibition of a Spitfire aircraft, and the photo retrospective "Les héros du D-Day", on view until August 31.

At the end of the day, enjoy a concert on the esplanade of the Sainte-Marie-du-Mont museum from 6.30pm, before the fireworks display at around 11pm.
